In the city of Arcata, California a stable population is shown with a prominent change in population for ages 20-24. This large change in population is due to the fact that Arcata is home to a college in which those who attend fall into this age group. Despite this age groups influx, the population in Arcata is neither growing nor decreasing in size.
Similar to Arcata, San Luis Obispo is a town in which a college is located. This detail creates an influx in population in the ages 20 to 24. Despite this influx in population size, San Luis Obispo's population is stable, neither growing nor decreasing in size.
